Las Teresitas is one of the most popular beaches in Tenerife. It is located in Santa Cruz, at the foot of the mountains and a short distance from the fishing village of San Andrés. It is a first-rate beach which has been awarded a Blue Flag.

It is an enormous golden sand beach with clear waters and palm trees sprouting from the sands and giving shape to the paradisiacal image that makes Las Teresitas so popular. Also, a large sea wall protects it from the waves and ensures that the waters are very calm.

A beach for everybody

Las Teresitas is a beach that will suit everyone. It is ideal for families with children, as there are hardly any waves, the waters are very calm, and the sand is ideal for playing. Also, it is a very safe beach, with lifeguards and an emergency post.

It is also recommended for couples due to the idyllic surroundings; for groups of friends, because it a huge beach, with something always happening, especially in its great bars. It is also ideal for those coming by themselves, perfect for walking, reading while laying in the sand or enjoying a dip in absolute tranquillity.

Food and drink

Las Teresitas has various food and drink stalls spread along the beach itself, which are open from dawn until dusk every day, all year around. They have everything you need for lunch, a drink, and almost any other type of food you might need for your visit to the beach.

And if these stalls on the beach aren’t enough, you can always take a stroll to the fishing village of San Andrés, which is just next to the beach. It has great restaurants along its seafront promenade.
As well as food and drink, you’ll find all the services you need at Las Teresitas, such as sunbeds, parasols, showers, toilets, etc.

Blue Flag

The Blue Flag is awarded for clean waters, quality facilities, safety, and the services available, as well as environmental management.

Las Teresitas is a Blue Flag beach, which is awarded by European and international institutions, and that makes it one of the essential attractions to see in Tenerife.

How to get to Las Teresitas

Getting to Las Teresitas is very simple. To arrive by car from Santa Cruz city centre, you will need to take the long roads that run along the capital’s coastline – Avenida de Anaga and Avenida Francisco La Roche, until you reach the TF-11, which will take you to the beach. There is parking around the beach.

It is also possible to make the journey on foot or bicycle. You’ll only need to cover approximately 5km from the centre of Santa Cruz.

You can also take public transport, via TITSA Line 910. This runs around every 15 minutes, but it can be more frequent during the summer. A one-way ticket costs around €1 and the journey to the beach only takes 10 minutes. You can find out more information about TITSA Line 910 here.
