Anaga Country Park is in the far west of Tenerife, in an untouched and sparsely inhabited area which makes up one of most impressive natural spaces of the whole Canary Islands.

Tenerife is full of secrets, and beyond the sun and the beach, we have almost 15,000 hectares of pure natural beauty covering three regions: Santa Cruz, San Cristóbal de La Laguna and Tegueste. Valleys, ravines, and luscious green mountain ranges descend towards the Atlantic to create a postcard picture.

The park extends from the sea to the clouds, and each shift in altitude is accompanied by a change of landscape: from the leafy laurel forests in the mountainous areas; to the dragon trees, palm trees, and cacti in the coastal areas.

In the dense forests of the higher altitude areas, the temperatures usually drop and form layers of fog. You can find lots of viewpoints throughout Anaga, each of them with better views than the last, as well as a chapel and a Visitor Centre.

Viewpoints in Anaga

Within Anaga, you will find the most extensive network of viewpoints in Tenerife, with superb views that covers the entire west side of the island. There are unparalleled places where you can enjoy the full splendour of the laurel forest that characterises the area, the valleys that slope down towards the coast, and the wild coastline of this part of Tenerife. How can you get to Anaga?

You can get to the Anaga Country Park via the winding TF-12 road, which crosses the park and offers some of the best views that you can see while driving on the island. If you don’t have your own vehicle, you can take the line 947 bus from Titsa, which stops at various places throughout the Country Park.
