That probably explains why it is one of the <a href=\"https:\/\/gotenerife.net\/en\/the-10-best-beaches-in-tenerife\/\">most photographed beaches<\/a> on the island.<\/p>\n<p>It is located away from the main tourist hubs in the south of Tenerife, but it is still quite popular among visitors and residents. With a horseshoe shape, it is <strong>protected from the waves<\/strong> by two solidified lava flows that enter the ocean and a small breakwater, meaning that its waters are calm and ideal for swimming year-round. It is a perfect beach for all types of guests, with the only drawback being how busy it can get in the summer.<\/p><div id=\"goten-1093838557\" class=\"goten-content_2 goten-entity-placement\"><script async src=\"\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js?client=ca-pub-0088719563045673\" crossorigin=\"anonymous\"><\/script><ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" style=\"display:block;\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-0088719563045673\" \ndata-ad-slot=\"\" \ndata-ad-format=\"auto\"><\/ins>\n<script> \n(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); \n<\/script>\n<\/div>\n<p>On clear days, you can even see <strong>La Gomera island<\/strong>, located around 30km away from the beach. The sunsets on Abama make the trip worthwhile.<\/p>\n<h2>Accessing Playa de Abama<\/h2>\n<p>To access the beach, you need to go through the Ritz-Carlton Abama Hotel. All of Spain\u2019s beaches are public property, so even if you are not staying at the hotel, you have the right to access the beach.
