{"id":701,"date":"2022-04-07T20:45:05","date_gmt":"2022-04-07T19:45:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/gotenerife.net\/en\/?post_type=job_listing&#038;p=701"},"modified":"2022-04-07T20:47:04","modified_gmt":"2022-04-07T19:47:04","slug":"church-of-san-fernando-rey","status":"publish","type":"job_listing","link":"https:\/\/gotenerife.net\/en\/explore\/church-of-san-fernando-rey\/","title":{"rendered":"Church of San Fernando Rey"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The <strong>Church of San Fernando Rey<\/strong> (<em>Iglesia de San Fernando Rey<\/em>) is in the south of <a href=\"https:\/\/gotenerife.net\/en\/\">Tenerife<\/a>, in the town centre of <a href=\"https:\/\/gotenerife.net\/en\/listing-region\/santiago-del-teide\/\">Santiago del Teide<\/a>, presiding over the main square next to the Town Hall.<\/p>\n<p>Its construction began in 1679 and was led by the man then-known as the Lord of the Valley (<em>Se\u00f1or del Valle<\/em>), Fernando del Hoyo Solorzano. However, it has been subject to various reforms to take the figure it has today.<\/p><div id=\"goten-1723948301\" class=\"goten-content_2 goten-entity-placement\"><script async src=\"\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js?client=ca-pub-0088719563045673\" crossorigin=\"anonymous\"><\/script><ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" style=\"display:block;\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-0088719563045673\" \ndata-ad-slot=\"\" \ndata-ad-format=\"auto\"><\/ins>\n<script> \n(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); \n<\/script>\n<\/div>\n<p>Architecturally, it is a <strong>single-nave rectangular church<\/strong> with a semi-spherical dome. Its fa\u00e7ade is white and grey, with a beautiful wide balcony standing over it. The balcony is traditionally Canarian and made of wood, like the doors giving access to the building, which are spread through the main fa\u00e7ade and the side walls.<\/p>\n<p>Its bell tower rises up on the left of the fa\u00e7ade, standing out above the rest with a Christian cross crowning its highest point.
