It is in the <strong>south of Tenerife<\/strong> in the Arona municipality, just 15 minutes from Tenerife South Airport. The excellent beaches along its coastline, the unbeatable leisure offering, the extraordinary setting, and the outstanding weather combine to make it such a popular destination.<\/p>\n<p>Not long ago, it was a <strong>humble fishing village<\/strong>. Over time, its economic activity has evolved toward <strong>tourism<\/strong>, but there are still remnants of the town\u2019s fishing past. It is the destination of choice for thousands of people every year for their stay on the island. You\u2019ll find <strong>hotels, apartments, and rental properties<\/strong> throughout the town.<\/p>\n<p>You can check <a href=\"https:\/\/gotenerife.net\/recommends\/alojamientoloscristianos\/\">prices and availability here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2>Places of interest<\/h2>\n<p>Most activity in Los Cristianos takes place along its promenade, which is a wide avenue full of bars, pubs, and restaurants offering dishes from around the world, including of course the typical Canarian cuisine.<\/p>\n<p>In and around the town, you\u2019ll find places of interest like the <em><strong>Monta\u00f1a de Guaza<\/strong><\/em>, a former volcano rising over 400m high which has been declared a Protected Area. There are paths up the mountain which make for a magnificent climb to the summit, which is an excellent viewpoint over the town.<\/p>\n<p>Other places of interest in the area include <strong>Monkey Park Tenerife<\/strong>, a small zoo which breeds primates at risk of extinction, as well as other species. You can also visit <strong>Jungle Park<\/strong>, a miniature rainforest which is ideal to visit with your little ones. Other recommended places in Los Cristianos include the Arona Historical Centre, Camel Park, the beaches, and the seafront in Las Americas.<\/p>\n<p>Beyond Los Cristianos in the south of Tenerife, you can have fun at <a href=\"https:\/\/gotenerife.net\/en\/explore\/siam-park\/\">Siam Park<\/a> or the <a href=\"https:\/\/gotenerife.net\/en\/explore\/barranco-del-infierno\/\">Barranco del Infierno<\/a>. Ferries leave from here to the islands of La Gomera, El Hierro, and La Palma.<\/p>\n<p>It is also a mooring point for private boats, as well as the point of departure for many <a href=\"https:\/\/gotenerife.net\/en\/activities-tours\/\">excursions<\/a> at sea, like whale and dolphin watching.<\/p>\n<p>It is located in a natural bay, just next to the main beach of the town.<\/p>\n<h2>Beaches<\/h2>\n<p>There are two beaches in the town \u2013 <em>Playa de Las Vistas<\/em> and <em>Playa de Los Cristianos<\/em>, which are two of the best on the island.
